ABERDEEN — Albert Goetz, 91, of Aberdeen and formerly of Onaka, passed away Friday, February 22, 2019, at Prairie Heights Healthcare in  Aberdeen.
A memorial mass will be 11 a.m., Saturday, April 27, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Onaka. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A wake service will be 7 p.m. Friday with visitation two-hours prior.  
Albert Edward Goetz was born November 19, 1927, in Aberdeen to Frank and Rose (Hoffart) Goetz. He graduated from Onaka High School in 1945. He was united in marriage to Ramona Waldman November 20, 1951. He farmed with his father.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion and St. John’s Catholic Church parish council.
He is survived by his wife, Ramona; children, Dean and David Goetz both of Onaka, Charlene (Ted) Hughes of Neligh, Neb., and Cheryl (Glenn) Schuck of Bismarck, N.D.; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three sisters-in-law.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Hildagarde Jones; and two brothers-in-law.
