HURON — Angelyn Palmer, 62, of Huron, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at Huron Regional Medical Center.


Her funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 7, at Bethesda Church. Burial will be in Ideal Cemetery. Her service will be livestreamed.


Her visitation will be held from 1 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, at Kuhler Funeral Home, with her family present from 5 to 7 p.m. A prayer service will be held 6:30 p.m. Tuesday evening.


Angelyn Ruth Stahl was born March 18, 1961, to LaVerne and Tootie (DeNolf) Stahl in Huron. She was raised in Huron and graduated from James Valley Christian School in 1979. She attended St. Paul Bible College and then Huron College, receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Teaching. She worked at the State School in Redfield before moving back to Huron. She held various jobs in Huron; her last position was managing the Salvation Army Thrift Store. Due to health problems, she retired and moved to the Huron Nursing Home/Avantara, where she has resided for 16 years.


On Jan. 12, 1985, Angie married Patrick Roy Palmer in Huron. To this union two sons were born, Joshua and Joseph. Patrick passed away Oct. 7, 1999.


She was a long-time member of Windriders A.B.A.T.E., which brough her a lot of pleasure and it is where she met her life-partner, Tom Coville.


She was preceded in death by her father, LaVerne Stahl; her husband, Patrick Palmer; and her life-partner, Tom Coville.


She is survived by her two sons, Joshua (Michelle) Palmer of Sioux Falls and Joseph (Kelsey) Palmer of Huron; her grandchildren, Jaylen, Nevaeh, Jerrika, Loghan, Hudson and Leo; her mother, Tootie Stahl of Huron; her siblings, Brion (Tracy) Stahl of Huron, Nathan (Joan) Stahl of Sioux Falls and Meribeth (Jerry) Shaw of Sioux Falls; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
