Redfield 3, Milbank 2
REDFIELD — Redfield needed a 15-10 win in the fifth set to slip past Milbank 3-2 on Thursday.

Milbank won the opening set 25-17, but the Lady Pheasants were able to even the match with a 25-15 win in the second set.

Redfield grabbled the lead with a 27-25 win in the third set, but Milbank answered with a 25-23 win in the fourth set to force the tiebreaker.

Gracie Fast finished with 22 kills on 61 of 72 attacks for the Lady Pheasants, who improved to 9-4. Mallory Smith was 16 of 18 serving with five aces, while Camryn Rohlfs was perfect on 20 serves with two aces and was the leading setter.

Ashlyn Clausen and Chloe Zens recorded 18 and 16 digs, respectively, for Redfield. Katie Rozell had four solo blocks and an assisted block.

Rachel Schulte led the way for Milbank with 13 kills on 50 of 57 hits, while Claire Snaza had nine kills on 20 of 21 hits.

Hallie Schulte was 17 of 18 serving with five aces for the Bulldogs, while Addisyn Krause had three aces on 19 of 20 serves. Aerie Engebretson was 107 of 109 setting with 30 assists.

Milbank won the junior varsity match with set scores of 25-22 and 25-21. The Bulldogs also won the C-match with scores of 23-25, 25-13 and 15-6.

Iroquois/Lake Preston 3, Highmore-Harrold 0
IROQUOIS – The Iroquois/Lake Preston Sharks scored a sweep of the Highmore-Harrold Pirates in 281 Conference action Thursday in Iroquois.

Set scores for the Sharks were 28-26, 25-21, and 25-16.

The Sharks move to 3-9 behind eight kills from Anna Decker. Faith Steffensen had 22 digs and four blocks for the I/LP defense.

The Pirates fall to 4-9. Addison McDonnell led the H-H attack with six kills.

I/LP travels to Wolsey to face Wolsey-Wessington on Monday. The Pirates host Sanborn Central/Woonsocket on Tuesday.

Hitchcock-Tulare 3, Iroquois/Lake Preston 2
HITCHCOCK — Hitchcock-Tulare escaped with a 3-2 victory against Iroquois/Lake Preston on Tuesday.

The Lady Patriots claimed the match with a 15-13 win in the fifth set. The other set scores were 25-21, 18-25, 20-25 and 25-18.

Rebecca Huizenga led Hitchcock-Tulare with 18 kills on 20 of 41 attacks, while Ella Johnson had eight kills on 15 of 24 hitting.

Presely Binger was perfect on 18 serves and was 51 of 52 setting with 12 assists for the Lady Patriots, who are now 7-8.

Gracyn Bixler had six aces on 18 of 20 serves and was 98 of 100 setting with 26 assists.

Cambree Hoekman and Brooklyn Frankenstein finished with 23 and 22 digs, respectively, for Hitchcock-Tulare, while Isabel Gilbert had two assisted blocks.

Faith Steffenson and Addison Moore had 12 and 11 kills, respectively, for Iroquois/Lake Preston, while Becca Bich had 18 assists and Trinity Pirlet had 11 assists.

Steffenson tallied 23 digs, while Hadlee Holt had 15 digs for the Sharks. Anna Decker had two aces and Chenoa Harris had an ace.

Lower Brule 3, Sunshine Bible Academy 1
MILLER — Using set scores of 25-17, 25-17, 24-26 and 25-21, Lower Brule earned a win against Sunshine Bible Academy on Tuesday.

Lydia Lo was 19 of 22 serving with four aces for the Crusaders (2-8).  

Annaliese Van Zee led SBA with nine kills on 20 of 26 attacks, while Sadie Konechne had five kills and had two aces on 13 of 13 serving. Betra Amare had three aces on 12 of 15 serving and recorded five digs and was 34 of 37 setting with seven assists. Abby Hinman also had five digs, while Rylee Nelson and Van Zee each had a pair of blocks.
