Wolsey-Wessington 3, James Valley Christian 0
HURON — Wolsey-Wessington, which is ranked fifth in the Class B volleyball poll, swept James Valley Christian in a 281 Conference match on Thursday.

The Lady Warbirds used set scores of 25-12, 25-17 and 25-12 to improve to 10-2.

Mya Boomsma was 27 of 32 attacking with 11 kills for Wolsey-Wessington, while Leah Williams had 11 kills on 13 of 15 hits. Mallory Miller was perfect on 17 attacks with 10 kills.

Lainey Uttecht converted on 14 of 14 serves and had a pair of aces, while Miller went 8 of 9 serving with three aces.

Williams was 10 of 11 serving, with two aces.

Taylor Horn amassed 27 assists on 57 of 59 sets for the Lady Warbirds and had a solo block, along with Miller.

Uttecht led Wolsey-Wessington with 21 digs, while Horn and Williams had 10 and nine digs, respectively.

Regan Rink had five kills and an ace for James Valley Christian, while Kaylie Robinson and Alexa Goertz each had three kills. Ashtyn Cronin also had an ace.

Colleen Wipf tallied 17 digs for the Lady Vikings (4-10), while Robinson had 10 assists and Dani Frandsen had six assists.

Rink and Cora Hofer each had a block.

Clark/Willow Lake 3, Deuel 1
WILLOW LAKE — Clark/Willow Lake earned its fifth win of the season with a 3-1 victory against Deuel on Thursday.

The Cyclones won the match with set scores of 25-17, 19-25, 25-20 and 25-18.

Haylee Tormanen had four kills on 9 of 12 attacks for Clark/Willow Lake, while Sara Thonvold was 15 of 15 hitting.

Summer Seefeldt was 21 of 22 serving, while Avery Lee was 18 of 18 with two aces.

Sami Brendon was 87 of 87 setting with eight assists for the Cyclones, who are now 5-8. Lee and Audrye Foster had nine and eight digs, respectively, while Thonvold had five blocks.
