WESSINGTON SPRINGS — Barbara A. Horsley, 66, of Wessington Springs, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2019, at Avera Weskota Hospital in Wessington Springs.
Her funeral service will be 2 p.m., on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Foothills Bible Fellowship Church in Wessington Springs. Visitation with the family present will be from 1 p.m. to the time of service at the church.
Barbara Horsley was born June 6, 1952, at Wessington Springs to Raymond and Adele Nissen. She graduated from Lane High School in 1970, and from Black Hills State University in 1976 with an education degree. She was united in marriage to Lynn Horsley November 29, 1975. She was the librarian at the Wessington Springs Carnegie Library for 22 years, retiring in 2017.
She is survived by her husband, Lynn; daughters, Kari (Carl) Sanders of Oral, Sarah (Charley) Larson of Wessington Springs, and Laura (Frank) Moser of New Prague, Minn.; nine grandchildren; siblings, John (Marilyn) Nissen of Woonsocket, David (Neda) Nissen of Sioux Falls, and Mary (Neal) Kohatsu of Carmichael, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant sister, Janet Nissen; and father-and mother-in-law, Milton and Nina Horsley.
