HURON — With the holiday Monday, Tuesday’s release from the South Dakota Department of Health (DOH) was actually COVID-19 numbers from testing done Friday, Oct. 8. The numbers for Saturday through Tuesday will come out in Wednesday’s DOH release.
In that Tuesday DOH release, the state added 429 new positive cases, six new deaths, and 473 new recovered cases. Active cases were down slightly to 6,539 in the state.
Beadle County added five new positive cases and seven new recovered cases. The county’s active cases fell to 57.
The Heartland Region noted 24 new positive cases and 18 new recovered cases across the seven counties in the region. Active virus cases were up slightly, to 153.
