“Little Darlin’,” “The Stroll” and “Words of Love” are just a few of the epic hit songs that The Diamonds music group are well-known for.

The De Smet Concert Series is especially proud to be able to bring The Diamonds to the De Smet stage on Sunday, July 9, at 3 p.m. in the De Smet Event Center. This fast-paced entertainment show captures the magic, the charm and the music of four decades of rock and roll.

Through the years since the release of “Little Darlin’” (1957), The Diamonds have learned one important lesson — the durability of this classic rock and roll music is as much about the future as it is about the past.

As a result, The Diamonds continue to expand their audience to this day, performing in a variety of venues and settings worldwide, including with symphony orchestras, in performing arts theatres and major concert halls, on cruise ships, in casinos, at county and state fairs, on tours of England, Ireland, Brazil, Chile, Korea, and Japan.

“We’ve been pleased to find a growing audience among all age groups,” the group says. “They love songs they can understand, remember and actually sing the words to — today, tomorrow, or even 20 years from now.”

The Diamonds’ many accomplishments over the years include three Gold Records, 33 appearances on American Bandstand, and inclusion in the Vocal Group Hall of Fame and Doo-Wop Hall of Fame. They are classic rock & roll with today’s attitude!

Reserve your individual concert tickets early for $20, by calling  605-854-3502, or 605-854-6060.
