HURON — A “Don’t Mask Your Heart” fundraiser for the Beadle County COVID-19 Rental Assistance Fund sponsored by Just Fabulous, Stephanie Ptak and Little City Farms, Stacy Roberts and Jann Johnson raised $1,515 to assist people in Beadle County who are facing difficult times during the pandemic.
Just Fabulous believes in giving back to the community and helping those in need when they need it most. For every $10 donated, individuals received a mask created by Little City Farms.
“I’ve always believed that when we are faced with adversity we need to stand together and find ways to overcome the situation we’ve been dealt,” said Ptak. She added, “Knowing full well that many of our friends and neighbors are struggling during these uncertain times was the reason Stacy, Jann and I decided to pay it forward and help others. As small business owners, we’ve felt the impact of the COVID Crisis and knowing how important it is to have a safe place to call home made the Rental Assistance Program the perfect cause for our event. We would like to encourage the community to continue to pay it forward and show kindness and compassion to the many who are suffering in our community.”
The masks are available at Just Fabulous located in the Center Plaza.
