REDFIELD — Dora “Beth” Elizabeth Fliehe, 91, of Redfield, passed away Friday, February 15, 2019, at the Redfield Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, February 21, at Tulare United Church. Interment will follow in St. John’s Cemetery at Tulare. Visitation with family present, will be Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hyke Funeral Home in Redfield.
Dora “Beth” Elizabeth Schamp was born September 21, 1927, in Huron to Joseph and Dorothy (Walcher) Schamp. She graduated from Bonilla High Schooland was united in marriage to Eugene “Pete” Fliehe September 9, 1949. They spent their lives farming together near Tulare. She was a proud life member of the Wessington American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by her children, Randy (Christine) Fliehe of Tulare, Laurie (Gary) Olivier of Pierre, and Darwin (Denise) Fliehe of Redfield; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; siblings, Darrel (Sharon) Schamp of Great Falls, Mont., Melba (Cam) Gallager of Huron; brother-in-law, Don Fritzsche of Huron; and sister-in-law, Lenore Schamp of Sioux Falls.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pete; grandson, Jason Fliehe; siblings, John (Ann), Russell, Lyda (George) Kuhns, and Olive “Juanita” Fritzsche.
