Milbank 27, Redfield 15
REDFIELD – Redfield saw its three-game winning streak snapped Friday night, as the Pheasants fell Friday in the regular season finale to the Milbank Bulldogs 27-15 in Redfield. Both teams finish the year at 5-3.

Kaden Krause led the Bulldogs with 27 carries and 189 yards from his quarterback position, going in for three scores. Ryker Trevett ran 16 times for 83 yards as Milbank dominated the game on the ground, running for 293 yards as a team.

The Pheasants got 226 yards on 19 of 33 passing from quarterback Easton Millar. He threw for two touchdowns as well.

Redfield travels to Aberdeen to face Aberdeen Roncalli to open the playoffs Thursday. Roncalli was

Redfield’s last loss before Friday, a 30-6 loss on Sept. 10.

De Smet 34, Dell Rapids St. Mary 16
DELL RAPIDS – The top-ranked team in Class 9A, the De Smet Bulldogs, finished off a perfect 8-0 season with a 34-16 victory on the road over the Dell Rapids St. Mary Cardinals Friday.

Colt Wilkinson had a big game with 168 yards passing and a pair of passing scores along with 24 yards rushing and a score. He also tossed for a pair of 2-point conversions. Wilkinson led the Bulldogs with 14 tackles on defense.

Rett Osthus had 110 combined rushing and receiving yards along with a pair of rushing touchdowns and a 2-point conversion catch. Karyn Fast caught three balls for 66 yards and a pair of receiving touchdowns.

No individual statistics were available for the Cardinals, who finish 4-3.

De Smet will open the playoffs hosting Britton-Hecla Thursday.

Deuel 36, Clark/Willow Lake 34
WILLOW LAKE – Leading by two scores at multiple times in the game, the Clark/Willow Lake Cyclones fought back for one final score, but the two-point conversion fell short to fall to the Deuel Cardinals 36-34 in Willow Lake Friday.

The Cardinals finish the year at 5-3 behind 169 yards rushing and four touchdowns from Trey Maaland along with a pair of 2-point conversion runs.

Ronnie Begalka led the Deuel defense with 10 tackles and three sacks.

Trey Huber had a big night for the Cyclones (4-4), with 38 yards rushing and a pair of scores along with 166 yards passing and a pair of touchdowns.

The Cyclones travel to top-ranked Winner to open the playoffs Thursday.
