CRESBARD — Harley Stanley, 81, of Cresbard, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at Avera Oahe Manor, Gettysburg.
A memorial service was held
Saturday, May 18, at Luce Funeral Home in Faulkton. Burial of his cremains was in the Fairview Cemetery at Northville.
Harland Elmer Stanley was born February 2, 1938, in Aberdeen, to Harland and Emma (Jones) Stanley.
He graduated from Cresbard High School in 1956.
He enlisted in the United States Army, serving his country from 1961 until 1963. He was united in marriage to Margaret McBride December 28, 1963. They made their home in Cresbard where he spent the next 56 years as an independent insurance agent. He was a member of the Cresbard American Legion.
He is survived by his son, Mike (Dee) Stanley of Onida; son-in-law, Willy Klingenberg of George, Iowa; and three grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margaret; daughter, Kay Klingenberg; and brother, Larry Stanley.
