SIOUX FALLS — Five Heartland-area high schools qualified for this weekend’s S.D. State One-Act Play Festival, which begins Thursday morning at O’Gorman High School.
Iroquois High School will present “Birdgirl on Walkabout” at noon on Thursday, while Clark High School’s “How to Kill a Mockingbird” at 9:30 a.m. on Friday.
James Valley Christian School will present “Be Careful What You Wish For...” at 3:45 p.m. Friday, while both De Smet and Huron will take the stage Friday evening - De Smet at 7:45 p.m. with “Frumpled Fairy Tales,” and Huron High School will present “The Veldt” at 9:15 p.m.
Judges award all members of the JVCS cast Outstanding Acting Awards at the recent regional contest.
Everyone is invited to attend the state competition.
