The Huron High School drama department will present, “Stranded” by Megan Orr, at 7 p.m. tonight and Saturday in the HHS Auditorium. This comedy is centered around a mis-matched group of people who all arrive on a beautiful tropical island only to find out that they’ve been stranded and are now trapped! There is the Beauty Queen, the grouchy recluse, the energetic granny, the dimwitted professional basketball player, the incredibly average Jane, the obnoxious Survival Scout, the presidential candidate, and Nelson Peabody, the “Smartest 12-year-old on the Face of the Planet.” In this photo, jemma Keleher, Asia Bindert, Hei Say, Nathan Farmer, Aubrey Rutledge and Mariah Miller practice a scene during a recent rehearsal.
In this comedy where “Guilligan’s Island” meets “Survivor,” the castaways struggle with hunger, suspicion, fiendish pirates, and a delusional pirate captain. All the while, they are facing their greatest test for survival — surviving each other. Don’t miss this ending; it’s got an unexpected twist.
