HITCHCOCK — The American Legion Raymond Hart Post No. 84 will host the Memorial Day program at Altoona Cemetery, one mile south of Hitchcock, beginning at 11 a.m. Monday.
Legion Commander Todd Cole will command the honor guard and Legion and Auxiliary chaplains will pray.

There will be a roll call of deceased veterans and American Legion Auxiliary members. Youth will hang wreaths on the white crosses in their honor.
The American Legion Auxiliary will serve a roast beef dinner with mashed potatoes and gravy, carrots, fruit salad, rolls and cupcakes at the Legion Hall  on Main Street following the service for a donation.
Poppy posters made by grade school students will be on display.
Poppies will be available for sale on Saturday at the Hitchcock Cafe and Rumors Bar as well as at the Legion Hall on Memorial Day.
