Honor a loved one, while helping HRMC's Community Hospice

HURON — A Hospice Tree of Memories, adorned with red lights and ornaments, is on display in the main lobby of Huron Regional Medical Center throughout the holiday season.

Hospice Tree of Memories is a holiday tradition at HRMC and provides an opportunity to remember a loved one who has passed with a gift to HRMC Foundation in support of HRMC Community Hospice.

Donors and memorials are recognized on ornaments displayed near the tree.

Donations support the work of the hospice team, whose mission is to help terminally ill patients live as fully and comfortably as possible, up until the end of life.

“When we talk about hospice, it is about end of life, but our goal is to make the quality of life the best that we can, providing comfort, symptom management and support for the family as well,” remarked Karen Decker, RN, HRMC Hospice nurse and Bereavement Coordinator.

Hospice care is available to residents who live within a 40-mile radius of Huron or live in a nursing home or assisted living center located in Huron.
