HURON — Huron Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce Pro PT will join the HRMC team to provide quality physical therapy services – in a convenient outpatient setting, according to Erick Larson, president and CEO for HRMC.
“Joining HRMC’s and Pro PT’s unique therapy strengths creates a diversified team providing a full-range of professional physical therapy services to patients in our region,” explained Larson. “The resulting partnership, called HRMC Pro Rehab, offers many benefits to existing and future patients of both therapy practices.”
After more than 30 years caring for patients in the region, Pro PT owner Bump Anshutz is semi-retired and focusing his attention on his Brookings Pro PT location.
“I was looking for a way to spend more time in my Brookings facility working with my son, but I needed more therapists in Huron to accomplish that goal,” said Anshutz. “What began as a discussion about sharing resources grew into this idea that the hospital could benefit by having a stand-alone facility that’s really designed just for physical and aquatic therapy to help community members recover from injuries and joint replacement.”
Most of the current staff has joined the HRMC team to provide continuity of care and familiar faces to current Pro PT customers. HRMC patients will benefit by having more space, access to the heated aqua-therapy pool and more convenient parking.
“I have enjoyed working with Bump and his team during this process and am grateful for the opportunity to keep a good therapy practice going and continuing to serve the rehabilitation needs of our community,” said Larson.
