HURON — The Huron Regional Medical Center (HRMC) board of directors voted to again contribute $4,000 for the Salvation Army’s annual food drive, according to Deb Kuhler, HRMC board chair.
“As a board, we have always felt strongly about the essential work the Salvation Army does for our community,” said Kuhler. “The Christmas Basket food drive is an important program and we are proud to help the Salvation Army provide food and gifts for those in our community who need a helping hand.”
Leanna Tuttle, Captain of the Salvation Army, expressed her sincere appreciation. “We really appreciate the support of Huron Regional Medical Center in meeting the needs of our community,” said Tuttle. “This year we received applications for food and toys from 155 families, representing 500 individuals with 332 of them being children in our community.
