HURON — What can be cuter than a baby’s precious smile or happy expression captured in a photo … how about 48 of them?

Huron Regional Medical Center hosted its 14th annual Cutest Baby Contest with a total of 48 entries submitted during March. During April, community members were invited to vote daily for their favorite.

Receiving the most votes to earn the “2022 Cutest Baby” title was Nora Lorraine, daughter of Andy and Lanah Reimer. “Nora Lorraine is always running around saying ‘hi,’ waving, and will never miss a chance to blow a kiss to anyone who looks her way!” her mom explained in Nora’s nomination. “She is so smart and constantly soaking in all things around her!

“Our delivery experience was amazing! I felt very well taken care of by the phenomenal nurses during my extended stay,” explained Lanah Reimer, who works in the radiology department at HRMC. “Dr. Fox kept me informed through the entire process, and she and the nurses cheered me on through delivery and postpartum. I’m very thankful for them and our Birthing Center.”

As the top vote getter, Nora received the grand prize package which includes a Hatch Baby Sleep Machine, a Tumble Track punch card, $25 gift certificate to POP HURON Ice Cream, a gift basket of baby essentials, a commemorative blanket, and the opportunity to be featured on HRMC Cutest Baby advertising and promotional materials.

Receiving the next highest number of votes in the contest was Geo Robert, son of Robbie and Sara Sonne. In the entry, his parents wrote, “Geo is the sweetest baby with an adorable smile. He is always such a precious, calm, lovable baby!

“Geo came into this world early as I had preeclampsia and had been admitted to the hospital for five days when Dr. Brock decided it was best to deliver before his due date,” explained Sonne. “The staff was so supportive and took what could have been a scary experience and made it a great one!”

As Cutest Baby runner-up winner, Geo received a Tumble Track punch card and a $20 gift certificate to POP HURON Ice Cream.

HRMC congratulates the winners and thanks everyone who participated in the 2022 Cutest Baby Contest.
