CASPER, Wyo. — South Dakota State University’s Jacey Hupp, who is a Huron native, was tied for 12th in the goat tying after the first round at the College National Finals Rodeo.
Hupp had a run of 6.6 seconds on her first goat. The leading time heading into the second round is 6.0 seconds.
In the second round, Hupp recorded a time of 7.1 seconds to place her in a tie for spot No. 19 in the 52-participant field.
The third round will be held Thursday, with the top finishers being brought back for the short go.
The College National Finals Rodeo is being aired live on ESPN3.
