A book penned by Iroquois’ Carrie Wintle, aimed at helping youth build a solid foundation, will be featured Sunday, Sept. 3, at the S.D. State Fair.
“Money $heep is a not-for-profit organization, which we founded in 2016,” said Wintle. “And the book I wrote - and Rayna Pearson illustrated - is called Mr. Money Sheep.”
On Sunday, Sept. 3, at the South Dakota State Fair, Wintle will be the featured author. She will have a booth set up in the Education Building and encourages everyone to stop by, learn more about Money $heep and get their own copy of Mr. Money $heep.

The book was originally released with a donation from White Oaks Wealth Advisors, sponsoring 800 copies, and arranging for Wintle to visit the Pine Ridge and Rosebud Reservations. She made financial literacy presentations and donated books to the youth attending.
“Let’s be honest, money is related to everything in this world,” Wintle said, “and everything in this world is related to money. Mr. Money $heep educates youth on basic financial concepts through interactive presentations, education games, and financial literacy books.”    
Wintle said that the organization’s goal for the 2016-2017 school year was to donate a copy of Mr. Money $heep to every third-grade student in South Dakota – approximately 10,618 students.  You can help Money $heep reach its goal by partnering with the organization through a sponsorship.  You can also buy your own copy of Mr. Money $heep and all profits will go towards reaching Money $heep’s goal.
