It’s time for All-State

All-State Chorus and Orchestra Concert will be held in Sioux Falls next weekend in the Sioux Falls Premier Center.
The event begins Friday with rehearsals, and concludes Saturday, with a concert at 7 p.m. The most talented vocalists and musicians from schools across the state take part in the event.
Guest conductors will be Tom Seelig, singer, teacher and director of San Franciso, Calif., and Michael Gerdes, director of orchestras at San Diego State University.

The Wolsey-Wessington All-State Choir Quartet, comprised of tenor Tyler Christianson, bass Matthew Larsen,  soprano Abigail Nickels and alto Raquel Nelson,  have been working hard for over a month preparing for the grand concert. They have had rehearsal every day after school, along with weekend rehearsals practicing with the quartet from the Hitchcock-Tulare school district. The quartet also attended workshops on the NSU and SDSU’s campuses.  Emily Cruse is the vocal director.
