HOWARD — Joan Irene Spader, 76, of Howard, passed away Monday, August 13, 2018, due to a vehicle accident near Mitchell.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 17, at St. Agatha Catholic Church in Howard. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery at Howard. Visitation will be Thursday starting at 5 p.m. with a Rosary service at 6:30 p.m. and Scripture service at 7 p.m. all at St. Agatha Catholic Church.
Joan Irene Feldhaus was born June 6, 1942, in Canova to Bernard John and Mary Barbara (Reisch) Feldhaus. She graduated from St. Agatha Catholic School in 1960, and was united in marriage to Darrel Spader in December. The couple moved to a farm near Fedora in 1962. She started working at the Good Samaritan Center in 1976. Her greatest gift was loving others.
She is survived by her husband, Darrel; children, Sherryl (Mike) Rankin of Woonsocket, Joe (Carla) Spader of Glenwood, Minn., Todd Spader of Howard, Susan (Jeff) Anderson of Bruce, Dana Spader of Madison; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; siblings, Jerry (Betty) Feldhaus, Marilyn (Jim) Tucek, Marjorie Schoenrock, Irene Colling, Jeanne (Dick) Simpson, Bernard (Lorna) Feldhaus, Phyllis (John) Olson, Dennis (Myra) Feldhaus, and Donna (Randy) Page; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Dick Feldhaus; and four brothers-in-law.
