JVC wins against Sharks

LAKE PRESTON — James Valley Christian opened a 31-20 lead at the half en route to a 71-44 victory against Iroquois/Lake Preston in a 281 Conference matchup Saturday.

Landon Wallman finished with 19 points, which included half of the eight 3-pointers in the game for the Vikings. Landon Wager had 14 points, including a trio of 3-pointers, while Isaac Korell added 11 points.

Josh McMasters connected on five 3-pointers en route to 19 points for Iroquois/Lake Preston. Logan Peskey also reached double figures with 15 points.

Dakota Valley 71, Clark/Willow Lake 50

MADISON — Dakota Valley, which is the top-ranked team in Class A, outscored Clark/Willow Lake 50-29 in the second half to secure a 71-50 victory during the Dak XII/NEC Clash held Saturday in Madison.

Isaac Bruns had 23 points to lead three players in double figures for the Panthers, who are undefeated at 12-0. Jaxson Wingert had 17 points, while Randy Rosenquist added 13 points.

Bruns, Rosenquist and Wingert all had eight boards for Dakota Valley. Rosenquist also recorded 11 assists, while Bruns had two steals.

Kaplan Felberg had a game-high 24 points to lead Clark/Willow Lake, which is now 10-4. Trey Huber also reached double figures with 15 points and two steals.

Brady Jordan snagged six rebounds for the Cyclones, while Bruns had a pair of steals.

DE SMET — With five players in double figures, No. 3-ranked De Smet routed Colman-Egan 88-21 on Friday.

Damon Wilkinson had a game-high 22 points to lead the Bulldogs, who improved to 12-2. Kasen Janssen had 16 points, while Trace Van Regenmorter had 14 points and Thomas Aughenbaugh and Kadyn Fast each had 12 points.

Wilkinson also had team highs for De Smet with 11 rebounds, four assists and five steals. Fast also recorded four assists.

Jase Mousel had eight points, three rebounds and two steals to lead Colman-Egan (4-7). Camden Schmidt had a pair of assists.
