WOLSEY — Karin Schumacher, 50, of Wolsey, passed away Monday, November 5, 2018, at the Avera Brady Health and Rehab in Mitchell.
Her funeral mass will be 11 a.m., Friday, November 9, at the Holy Trinity Catholic Parish. Her visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
Karin Marie was born January 29, 1968, at Valentine, Neb. to James Felix Knife and Peggy Lee Bowers. She attended college in Bismarck, N.D., graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice.
She was united in marriage to Robert Pickett. They moved to Crow Agency, Mont. where she worked in law enforcement. After their divorce, she lived in Winner, and Pierre, where she married Mark Olander. They divorced in 2006. She married Gabe Schumacher March 27, 2010. The couple moved to Wolsey in 2017.
She is survived by her husband; granddaughters, Alaysha and Asia Knife, whom she raised as daughters; mother, Peggy Moran of Mitchell; sons, Alexander Pickett, Robert Pickett both of Montana, and Cedric Pickett of Huron; ten grandchildren; six siblings; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kateri Rose Knife; her father; stepfather, Roy Moran; her grandparents; and an aunt.
