HURON — LaVerne Stahl, 85, of Huron, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at the Huron Regional Medical Center.
His funeral service will be 11 a.m., Monday, January 14, at Bethesda Church. Burial will be in the Bethesda Church section of the Ideal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Kuhler Funeral Home, with his family present from 5 to 7 p.m. A time of sharing will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday at the Kuhler Funeral Home.
LaVerne J. Stahl was born October 14, 1933, at Yale to Joshua B. and Anna (Kleinsasser) Stahl. He was united in marriage to Rosetta “Tootie” DeNolf October 15, 1957. He farmed by Yale for many years, worked for Armour & Co., and delivered feed from the ethanol plant to farmers in the area.
He is survived by his wife, Tootie; four children, Brion (Tracy) Stahl, Angelyn (Tom Coville) Palmer, Nathan (Joan) Stahl and Meribeth (Jerry) Shaw; 11 grandchildren; 18 great- grandchildren; siblings, DeLor Stahl of Yale, and Julia (John) Diede of Redfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law; son-in-law, Patrick Palmer; a great-granddaughter; and sister, Phoebe Stahl.
