HURON — Lela Mae Grohs, 81 of Huron, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at her home in Huron.
Her Funeral Service will be 10 a.m., Monday, October 22, at the Holy Trinity Catholic Parish in Huron with burial in the St. Martin Cemetery. Visitation, with family present, will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Welter Funeral Home or one hour prior to the service at the church.
Lela Mae Reindl was November 23, 1936, in Wessington Springs, to Peter P. Reindl and Florence (Ryan) Reindl. She graduated from Wessington Springs High School and was united in marriage to Donald S. Grohs September 27, 1955. She became co-owner of Grohs Plumbing from 1971-1993. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Parish.
She is survived by her husband, Don; eight children, Janet (Jerry) Bockorny of Huron, Keith (Jerolyn) Grohs of Huron, Susan (Bruce) SoRelle of Arlington, Texas, Terry (Kathy) Grohs of Omaha, Neb., Beth Grohs of Huron, Eileen (Gary) Wedel of Mitchell, Kelly (Joan) Grohs of Aberdeen, and Peggy (Kevin) Tschetter of Huron; 20 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, LeRoy Reindl, Everett Reindl, Lloyd Reindl, Maxine Reindl, Patricia Grohs, and Elinor Knight.
