To the Editor:
After attending the football game on Friday between Huron and Watertown, I’d like to make some comments.
I looked at the program when I arrived and began comparing the numbers of players and size of players on both teams, I wondered how Huron could ever match up against a team with more and bigger players.
The game began and the first half Huron really played well. At halftime, I thought the second half would not go well with lots of Huron players playing both offense and defense.
The Huron Tigers showed everyone in the stands the meaning of guts and determination! I’m not a believer in moral victories but this game changed my mind.
Without two miracle plays on Watertown’s last drive, the Tigers would have won. Hats off to the coaching staff and all the players. You made us proud!
