To the Editor:
After watching the Steelers - Browns football game Thursday, I noticed neither announcer would comment on Deshaun Watson’s situation. There was a brief reference to his return date but no comment on why he was suspended. He was suspended because he was accused of sexual misconduct with over 20 women. Even with the accusations made public there were numerous teams interested. The Browns were the “winner” of the contract of 230 million guaranteed dollars. He later was suspended for part of this season.

Let’s go back a few years to the Colin Kaepernick situation. He kneeled for the national anthem to draw attention to social injustice. He explained this was no disrespect to the flag but to make us think about equal rights.

A talented quarterback was never offered a job again. This tells me you can molest women but can’t try to improve racial conditions.

Trump said, while campaigning, if you are famous you can grab women by the privates and they won’t care. He was elected president. He blasted Kaepernick over patriotism. This was from a man who used bone spurs as an excuse not to go to Vietnam. Then he stacked the Supreme Court and the abortion law was overturned. He said ingest bleach to kill covid. He refused to believe his election loss and had the capitol attacked. Then he stole classified documents. The list goes on from the stable genius. Trump’s view of women makes me wonder why any woman (or man) would vote for him.

I read Mr. Busch’s monthly letters praising Trump. I wonder if he was one of many stiffed in Trump’s multiple bankruptcies if he would worship him. Then he quotes the Bible and says you will go to Hell if you don’t follow King Trump. I will take my chances!
