DOLAND — Lonnie “Lon” LaBrie, 71, of Doland, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2019, at Community Memorial Hospital in Redfield.
Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 18, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Turton. Interment will be at the church cemetery. Lunch and fellowship will follow. Visitation with family present, will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at the church with a Prayer Service and Rosary at 7 p.m.
Lonnie “Lon” LaBrie was born on April 20, 1948, in Redfield to Aaron and Barbara (Sheldon) LaBrie.
He graduated from SDSU with a farm operations degree. He was united in marriage to Mary Leyden August 7, 1971. He farmed, but also worked at Doland School as head custodian for 24 years. He owned Prairie Pheasant Hunts for 17 years.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; children, Matt LaBrie of Brandon, Mark LaBrie of Frankfort, Jeremy LaBrie of Junction City, Kan., Jason LaBrie of Rapid City; 12 grandchildren; siblings, Marsha Selle, Shiela Mason, Patti LaBrie, Bonnie Kisler, Cindy Riddle, Randy LaBrie, and Terry LaBrie.
He was preceded in death by his parents; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and two nephews.
