HURON — Lorin L. Lucklum, 62, of Huron, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2017, at the Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls.
His funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, August 26, at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish with interment following in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be 5 to 7 p.m. today at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish in Huron followed by a scripture prayer service beginning at 7 p.m. or visitation one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.
Lorin was born December 4, 1954, to in Huron to Eugene and Catherine (Dahl) Lucklum. He was raised in the Huron area and graduated from Huron High School. Following graduation, he pursued his passion and attended school for auto body. He worked for many years for G&H Body Shop. He then furthered his education in electrical drafting and was working for WAPA.
He was united in marriage to Bobbi Kaufman June 25, 1988.
He is survived by his wife; children, Mindy Lucklum of Dickinson, N.D., and Andrew Lucklum of Huron; mother, Catherine Lucklum of Huron; siblings, Barb (Gary) O’Riley, Larry (Mary) Lucklum, Dale (Cheryl) Lucklum all of Huron, and Mark (Sarah) Lucklum of Summerset; mother- and father-in-law, Elven and Kathy Kaufman, Lefor, N.D.; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Lucklum.
