FRANKFORT — Marlin Henry Solheim, 87, of Frankfort, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2019, in Aberdeen.
His funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 24, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Redfield.
Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery at Frankfort following lunch at the church. Visitation with the family present, will be Thursday from 5 to 7pm at Hyke Funeral Home in Redfield.
Marlin was born June 28, 1931, near Frankfort to Leif and Jennie (Bruins) Solheim. After graduating from Frankfort High School, he served in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954, building bridges and roads in South Korea. He was a life-long farmer.
He is survived by his siblings, Hans Solheim of Redfield, Janet (Gene) Reich, and Janice (Robert) Patterson both of Aberdeen; sister-in-law, Bernice Solheim of Frankfort; and his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Oscar Solheim; sister-in-law, Chick (Vesta) Solheim; and nephews, Terry and Michael Solheim.
