Eighth-grade girls
HURON — The Huron eighth-grade girls’ basketball team split a pair of games against Brookings on Monday.

The Tigers won the A-game 30-21.

Isabelle Kremer had 10 points to lead Huron, while Jessalyn Noyes and Abagail Harrington added six and four points, respectively.

Brookings tallied a 27-19 victory in the B-game.

Londyn Wenzel and Natalie Kinsley finished with seven and six points, respectively, for the Tigers.

Seventh-grade girls
HURON — Brookings earned a pair of wins against Huron’s seventh-grade girls’ basketball teams on Monday.

The Bobcats won the A-game 24-19.

Kinsley Armstrong led the Tigers with eight points, while Jayda Morrison added six points.

Brookings cruised to a 35-5 win in the B-game.

Charleigh Brewer and Reva McGaugh had three and two points, respectively, for Huron.

The Tigers will host Pierre on Thursday.

Eighth-grade boys
BROOKINGS — Brookings swept the Huron eighth-grade boys’ basketball team in three games on Monday.

The Bobcats emerged with a 40-27 win in the A-game.

Ty Kleinsasser led the Tigers with 10 points and four rebounds. Bryson North had six points, four rebounds and two assists, while Chase Schuchhardt had six points and two assists.

Brookings secured a 43-17 win in the B-game.

James Shoultz led Huron with six points and two assists. Zach Scheer had four points and three rebounds, while Jeremy Hofer had three points and five rebounds.

The Bobcats won the C-game 41-26.

Scheer paced Huron with 17 points and two rebounds. Aaron Lucio-Garcia had four points, three rebounds and two assists, while Anthony Hernandez had three points and three rebounds.
