Eighth-grade boys
PIERRE — Pierre recorded a sweep against the Huron eighth-grade boys’ basketball team on Thursday.
The Governors won the A-game 43-34.
Regan Derksen led the Tigers with 14 points and eight rebounds, while Ty Kleinsasser had 12 points, five rebounds, five assists and three steals. Bryson North had four points and five rebounds and Cooper Bischoff had four points, four rebounds and two assists.
Pierre edged Huron 38-37 in the B-game.
Jeremy Hofer had 10 points, five rebounds and four assists for the Tigerss, while Chase Schuchhardt had nine points, two rebounds and two assists. Michael Olson had six points, two rebounds and two steals and James Shoultz had five points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals.
The Governors claimed a 35-17 victory in the C-game.
Olson led the way for the Tigers with 14 points, three rebounds and three steals. Thay Htoo had two points and three rebounds, while Leon Waldner had two rebounds and two assists.
Seventh-grade boys
PIERRE — Pierre escaped with a 35-31 win against the Huron seventh-grade boys in the A-game on Thursday.
Jimmie Martin led the Tigers with 16 points, while Noah Owen and Colt Culver added eight and seven points, respectively.
The Governors also won the B-game with a 36-23 score.
Noah Koops had eight points for Huron, while Klee Htoo had six points and Yo Yo had five points.
