HURON — Mikel Hoffman, 67, of Huron, formerly of Madison, passed away on Sunday, August 12, 2018, at Huron Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Friday, August 17, at Kinzley Funeral Home in Madison. Visitation will begin one hour prior. Interment will take place in Graceland Cemetery.
Mikel J. Hoffman was born June 24, 1951, in Madison to Otto and Gladys (Wiebersiek) Hoffman. He graduated from Madison High School and was united in marriage to Rhonda Dover November 11, 1971.
He worked on a farm in Winfred for many years and then on several other farms in Bryant, Conde and Wolsey. He went on to drive truck for Stan’s in Alpena for 16 years and loved the opportunity to see so many different places. He also enjoyed watching TV and Facebook.
He is survived by his daughter, Melissa (Rick) Rernleitner and their children, Haley Lewis and Natalie Rernleitner, all of Huron; brother, Otto (Cheryl) Hoffman of Sioux Falls; parents-in-law, Roger and Ethel Dover of Madison; and brothers-in-law, Maylon (Barb) Dover of Sioux Falls, Jim Dover of Lennox, Mike Dover of Sioux Falls and Scott Dover of Sioux Falls.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Rhonda.
