Offensive struggles hamper Lady All-Stars in pair of games

HURON — Katelyn Uithoven had 18 saves to earn a shutout to help the Mitchell Lady Marlins to a 10-0 win against the Huron Lady All-Stars on Saturday at Bergman Arena.
Jenna Grosdidier had four goals to lead the Lady Marlins, who had 60 shots on goal. Ashley Jones also earned a hat trick with three goals, while Brooke Jarman had two goals and Kelsey Amick had a goal.
Alissa Ferguson stopped 50 of the 60 shots she faced as the goalie for Huron.
The Lady All-Stars will travel to face Rushmore on Saturday and Sunday.
On Friday, the Aberdeen Lady Cougars scored eight goals in the opening period en route to a 16-0 victory against the Huron Lady All-Stars at Bergman Arena.
Hailey Holland and Kaitlyn Holland each had hat tricks for the Lady Cougars, who had eight players in the scoring column.
Estelle Harrison, Morgan Dean, Kensington Eckoff and Jocelyn Orr all had two goals each for the Lady Cougars. Danielle Podoll and Justice Small each had a goal.

Shelby Snow stopped all 10 shots she faced in the net for Aberdeen to collect the win.
Alissa Ferguson and Cassie Valer combined for 35 saves in the net for the Lady All-Stars.

U14 girls
HURON — The Huron U14 girls’ team pulled away in the third period for a 6-2 victory against Aberdeen on Friday at Bergman Arena.
Kylee Small had three goals to earn a hat trick for the Lady All-Stars, who led 2-1 after the second period. She also had an assist.
Devin Hunter had a pair of goals for Huron, while Alexis Priest added a goal.
Also recording assists for the Lady All-Stars were Izabel Casper, Azalea Rashaad and Hunter.
Marissa Ready stopped 13 of the 15 shots she faces as the goalie for Huron to earn the win.
