Olson Construction wins Major League title with shutout

HURON — A four-run rally in the third inning helped the Olson Construction Braves claim the Major League Championship of the 2022 Little League season with a 5-0 win against the Carr Chiropractic Phillies on Thursday at Roger Kasa Little League Complex.

Four of the eight hits in the game for the Braves came in the fourth inning. Quincy Rashaad, JJ Gilbert,  and Carter Porisch all had singles and score, while Colt Culver also had a single and Kasen Armstrong also scored.

The other run for Olson Construction cam in the fifth inning. Gilbert reached base after being hit by a pitch and was able to score on a double by Culver to make it 5-0.

Culver finished the game with three hits, including a pair of doubles for the Braves, while Rashaad also had a double. Also recording hits were Uriah Cardon and Jayden Rymen.

Tucker Lien highlighted the offensive effort for Carr Chiropractic with a triple, while Mason Tipton also had a hit.
