HURON — Huron mayor Gary Harrington has proclaimed Monday, Jan. 30 as Paul Aylward Day in Huron.
Citing Aylward’s service to the city as its mayor from 2013 to 2020, and his dedication to the best interests in the community, Harrington made the proclamation.
“Paul justly earned the respect, admiration and high regard of all with whom he came into contact and this community has sustained a great loss in his death,” the proclamation reads.
Aylward passed away Jan. 22. His funeral services are set for 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Huron.
