HURON — Paw Htoo, age 88, of Huron, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2019, at her home in Huron.
Her funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Su Knya Baptist in Huron.
Paw Htoo was born on May 5, 1931, in Burma to Oo Maw Doe and Naw Tha Heh. She received her teacher’s certificate and taught English and Karen in elementary schools in Burma.
She married Pah Htoo in 1942 in Burma. She enjoyed going to Bible studies and praying for her family and friends. She had a strong faith in God and enjoyed going to church. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, knitting and making Karen clothing.
She was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
She is survived by her husband, Pah Htoo of Huron; children Blay Blor (Mya Ye) of Huron, Eh Htoo (Mu Naw Shee) of Buffalo, N.Y., Thalay Htoo (Pah Ner) of Huron, and La June Paw (Htoo Htoo) of Denver, Colo.; and 19 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
