HURON — Renee Meyers, 65, of Huron, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2019, at her home in Huron.
Her memorial service will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 27, at American Lutheran Church in Huron with burial to follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be one hour prior to the service.
Renee Kay Meyers was born March 17, 1954, in Huron to Robert and Leona (Woodhouse) Meyers. She graduated from Huron High School in 1972. She attended Lake Area Vocational Technical Institute in Watertown.
She cared for many children in her home as a daycare provider. She was united in marriage to Robert Sumeer. The couple later divorced. She was an active member of the American Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her special friend, Kevin Slepikas of Huron; siblings, Randy Meyers, David Meyers both of Huron, Mike Woodhouse of Biloxi, Miss., Kathy Peterson of Lisbon, N.D., Lori Dailey of Mandan, N.D. and Darla McCain of Forbes, N.D.
She is preceded in death by her parents; an infant child; an infant brother, Timothy; grandparents; aunts and uncles; and her niece, Emily Nelson.
