SISSETON — Richard “Dick” Lynn Wallenstein, 66, of Sisseton, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021.
His memorial service was held Thursday, April 29, 2021.
Richard was born June 11, 1954, to Richard and Mary Lou (Pahne) Wallenstein in Huron. He graduated in 1972 from Huron High School.
He met and married Nancy Genia.
He proudly gave 25 years to managing various entities within or concerning Tribal businesses.
Some of his hobbies included gardening and yard work, feeding the birds, cooking and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his four children, Rebecca Genia, Rachel (Daniel) McAvoy, Perry and Ron; 20 grandchildren; his mother, Mary Lou; brothers, David, Rodney (Nikki), Michael and Ron (Nancy); sisters, Renee (Darrel) Pownell and Leanne (Roger) Voorhees; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife; father; and in-laws, Patsy and Mark Genia.
