Several area volleyball games

REDFIELD — The Redfield-Doland Pheasants won the first two sets of the match, watched the Clark-Willow Lake Cyclones come back and take sets three and four, then rebounded to take the fifth and deciding set, and the match, Friday night.
Scores for the Pheasants, now 17-6 on the season, were 25-15, 25-19, 22-25, 25-27 and 15-9.
R-D was led offensively by Olivia Shantz with 19 kills, while Kailee Clausen added eight kills, had three aces and contributed 24 digs to the Pheasant defensive effort. Hannah Kuehn had 25 set assists in the match, while Addie Rozell had four solo blocks and two ace serves.
Janae Kolden had 14 kills and Abbie Bratland added 11 kills and a block for the Cyclones, who drop to 16-9 with the loss. Taylor Hartley had a match-high 29 assists, contributed an ace and had 17 defensive digs, as did teammate Allison Kannegeiter.
Redfield-Doland travels to Wolsey-Wessington tonight, while Clark-Willow Lake will close the regular season on the road in Sisseton, tonight as well.


Sully Buttes 3, Hitchcock-Tulare 2
TULARE — The Sully Buttes Chargers closed the regular season Friday night, winning the first two sets over the Hitchcock-Tulare Lady Patriots, then withstanding a furious comeback to persevere and take the fifth set and the match. Scores for the Chargers were 25-23, 25-23, 14-25, 20-25 and 15-11.
For Sully Buttes, who end the regular season with a mark of 18-8, Lauren Wittler had 19 kills and Kendra Kleven added five kills and had thre aces. Brooklyn Bradford had 18 assists and Tailynn Bradford chipped in 14 assists, a pair of aces and 21 digs in the match.
The Lady Patriots got 18 kills from Dawsyn Otto, while Elizabeth Salmen added 11 kills and contributed 27 digs in the match. Kenidee Enander had 44 set assists, 28 digs and added an ace serve. Cassidy Johnson had 5 aces for Hitchcock-Tulare.
De Smet 3, Iroquois 0
IROQUOIS — The De Smet Lady Bulldogs improved to 12-13 Friday night, with a 3-0 shutout win over the Iroquois Lady Chiefs in non-conference volleyball action. Set scores for the Lady Bs were 25-6, 25-11 and 25-12.
Kennadi Buchholz had eight kills and added four blocks for De Smet. Cierra Sazue added seven kills and Jessie Todd had five aces. De Smet will host Arlington tonight to close the regular season.
For Iroquois, Harley Nelson had seven kills and had 11 blocks in the match. Hannah Hofhenke passed out eight set assists, while both Kaitlyn Maas and Niah Rogers had ace serves and Rogers added six digs.
