Sons of Serendip to open RACA Concert Series

Posted

REDFIELD — Sons of Serendip, a musical group of four friends, will be kicking off the 2018-19 Concert Series for the Redfield Area Concert Association. The group will perform in Redfield at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday at the SDDC Auditorium, which is handicapped accessible using the West entrance.
This name Sons of Serendip comes from the notion that “serendipity brought us together.” Each member has an inspiring story and together, they strive to embody the adjectives classy, genuine, spiritual, sensitive and timeless. Having been together since graduating school at Boston University, this group is a very interesting combination of voice and instruments which produce a rich sound. The group have been playing their instruments since childhood and the members of the group have hopes that their singing will inspire others to follow their dreams, to pursue their love for music, to spread love and build a better world, and create an experience one will never forget.
The concert program will focus on fairly contemporary music, some with a fresh twist, and some familiar pop tunes from Motown.
A Season Membership in the Redfield Area Concert Association includes the opportunity to attend nine different concerts in Redfield, Huron, Pierre and Gettysburg, per membership, which includes seeing the Todd Oliver, Ventriloquist in Redfield on Tuesday, Oct. 30, and The Jersey Tenors in Pierre or Huron in March. Memberships will be available at the Sons of Serendip Concert.
Admittance to all RACA performances is by Season Membership in the Redfield Area Concert Association. For more information on membership prices contact Mary Ellen at 472-2991.
