WELCOME, Minn. — Susan L. Nelson, 57, of rural Welcome, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2018, at home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, December 15, at the United Methodist Church, 119 E. 2nd St. in Fairmont, Minn. Burial will be in the Welcome City Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the church, and one hour prior to the services on Saturday.
Susan Lynn Kloeckner was born January 29, 1961, in Fairmont, Minn. to Robert and Evelyn Kay (Hicks) Kloeckner. She
was a 1979 Graduate of Fairmont High School, and graduated from Mankato State University with a degree in Business Management. She was united in marriage to Rodney Lee Nelson October 1, 1983. She worked for Fairmont Area Schools for thirty-two years as Business Manager, retiring in 2018.
She is survived by her husband, Rod; children, Ryan Nelson (Kayleen Lahoud) of Mankato, and Megan (Beau) Mack, and grandson, Guy Nicholas all of Huron; her parents; siblings, Karin Schultz (Ed Bulfer), David (Beth) Kloeckner both of Fairmont, Tom (Ann) Kloeckner of Oshkosh, Wisc., and James (Kathy) Kloeckner of Fairmont.
Sue was preceded in death by her son, Nicholas Ryan Nelson; her grandparents; and other relatives.
