Lowell from the American Red Cross has spent many days with the students in Tiger Afterschool Program during the month of January, teaching emergency preparedness.
The American Red Cross Pillowcase Project is an educational preparedness program for students teaching personal safety skills and family preparedness.
Each student received a pillowcase to decorate and personalize as they built their own emergency supply kit to keep in the pillowcase.
Kindergarten through 2nd grade students took part in the Prepare with Pedro the Penguin Program while the 3rd-5th learned about the Pillowcase Project.
