Salma Laabs, 92, was a special guest, along with other mothers and young ladies, at a tea and salad luncheon May 11 at the Broadland United Methodist Church.
The tea was hosted by Bonnie Pribyl, Laabs daughter, as well as Paula Dunkelburger and Sharon Kuestermeyer.
Following the lunch, Jennifer Hughes of Hitchcock and Sarena Walton of Huron modeled prom dresses. Hughes also modeled the black formal she wore for the All-State Chorus in Sioux Falls.
Each woman attending was presented a flower.
