BRANDON – The Wolsey-Wessington Warbirds could not defend their 2020 Small Group Cheer title, finishing fourth with a 192 team title and finishing 9th in the grand champion cheer standings at the 2021 state championships Friday in Brandon.
Dakota Valley won the grand champion dance with 277 points, barely beating out Beresford, who finished with 276.5 points.
Deubrook Area won the small group cheer with a 209 team score to edge out Bon Homme, who finished with a score of 208.5. Sioux Valley coasted to the grand champion cheer title with a team score of 283.5.
Redfield had a score of 152 in small group cheer to finish 14th.
