Make plans now to get out and enjoy the Fourth of July celebrations taking part throughout the Heartland.
In Huron, festivities begin with a parade. This year’s parade begins at 10 a.m., with line-up on Illinois Ave., on the north side of 9th Street. The parade will follow 9th Street east to Dakota Ave., then run north to 3rd Street, then back west to Illinois.
Also beginning at 10 a.m. is a vendor fair in Campbell Park.
Following the parade, the Huron Chamber and Visitors Bureau will host a pork loin BBQ, with a sandwich, chips and drink for one price.
Fireworks will take place beginning at 10 p.m. over Ravine Lake, with patriotic music broadcast over Tiger 95 (95.3 FM), and fireworks are planned over Lake Byron as well.
