Huron hockey team competes against Sioux Center

HURON — The Huron All-Stars closed the regular season with a 7-4 victory against the Sioux Center Storm on Sunday at Bergman Arena.
The All-Stars, who are fourth in the league standings, outscored Sioux Center, which is one spot back, 5-2 in the second period en route to the win.
Carson Duba had the lone goal of the opening period for Huron on a pass from Lucas Snyder.
The All-Stars had the opening goal in the second period to make it 2-0. Xavier Erickson scored on a pass from Izaiah Phillips.
After the Storm put its first goal on the board on an unassisted shot by Lane Kamerman, Huron erupted for four unanswered goals to stretch its lead to 6-1.
Erickson opened the barrage, scoring on a pass from Tanner Berquist. Rei Hoops had the next two goals, with the first assisted by Spencer Busch and Matthew Voss and the second assisted by Erickson.
Berquist tallied the final goal of the second period for the All-Stars on a pass from Duba.
Sioux Center would score in the final minute on a power play to cut its deficit to 6-2 heading into the final period. Isaac Bartels had the goal, with Ben Lentell assisting.
