HURON –– American Bank & Trust (AB&T) donated $8,137 to the Huron School District and $1,000 to the James Valley Christian School through the bank’s Spirit Card program. These funds will support grants and scholarships through the Huron School District Foundation, helping to strengthen educational opportunities for students, and help promote academic excellence and athletic opportunities for James Valley Christian students.

Since 2012, American Bank & Trust has contributed more than $68,000 to the Huron School District and $3,500 to James Valley Christian School through the Spirit Card program. Past donations have funded essential items such as auditorium speakers, library tables and chairs, floor seating for the Tiger Arena, sound tubs for kindergarten classrooms, a new Tiger mascot costume, Red CAT Amplifier systems, and intramural sports equipment.

A Spirit Card is more than just a debit card—it’s a way to support your local school while showcasing pride. The cards feature the school district’s name, colors, and mascot and are linked directly to the customer’s checking account. Every time an account holder makes a purchase with their Spirit Card, AB&T donates a portion back to the designated school.
