Milbank 52, Redfield 17
MILBANK — With 16 points in each of the first two quarters, Milbank recorded a 52-17 victory against Redfield on Thursday.

Isabella Anderson and Tyra Berry each had 14 points to lead the Bulldogs, who improved to 5-3. Claire Snaza added eight points, while Belle Pauli had five rebounds.

Katie Rozell had 10 points to lead the Pheasants, who dropped to 4-4. Chloe Zens recorded four steals.

Redfield will travel to play Mt. Vernon/Plankinton on Tuesday in Plankinton.

Wessington Springs 78, Mt. Vernon/Plankinton 47

WESSINGTON SPRINGS — With three players in double figures, Wessington Springs cruised to a 78-47 victory against Mt. Vernon/Plankinton on Tuesday.

After leading 39-27 at the half, the Spartans outscored the Titans 24-9 in the third quarter.

Ryler Michalek had a game-high 28 points to lead Wessington Springs, which improved to 6-1. Colby Flowers had 16 points, while Parker Graff and Blake Larson added 11 and nine points, respectively.

Brock Krueger had a team-high eight rebounds for the Spartans, while Larson had seven assists.

Mt. Vernon/Plankinton (3-2) was led by Tye Feistner with 17 points.

Blaine Bohr also reached double figures with 14 points for the Titans.

Wessington Springs, which is the top seed, is scheduled to face Sunshine Bible Academy in the opening round of the 281 Conference Tournament at 1 p.m. Saturday in Wolsey.

ETHAN — Wessington Springs handed Ethan its first loss of the season on Jan. 5.

The Spartans used a stifling defense to limit the Spartans to just a point in the third quarter.

Parker Graff and Ryder Michalek had 16 and 15 points, respectively, to lead Wessington Springs. Colby Flowers added seven points and had a team-high 11 rebounds, while Brock Krueger had four assists.

Ethan, which dropped to 8-1, was led by Taite Klumb with 16 points. Braeden Nebelsick had nine points.
